Meet Sena

photo-1Meet Sena, one of our Keziah graduates from the 3rd class. Although she is a happy, confident young woman now, that wasn’t always her demeanor. When Sena was just a young girl, her father passed away, forcing the burden of caring for Sena solely on her mother. Sena and her family struggled to make ends meet, and she always struggled in school as well. She moved to the city of Addis to live with her aunt, hoping to continue her education. However, her situation did not change and she fell into a cycle of depression. Then someone told her about the Keziah House.

After her experience at the Keziah House, Sena has become a new woman. She obtained an education in food preparation and began working as a cook at a local café called Kaldi’s. After only a few months, she was promoted to supervisor and is in charge of 5 to 6 employees at a time.

We were fortunate enough to visit Sena at work, and she gave us a grand tour of the café. She works six days a week from 7 to 4, and her absolute favorite part of the job is decorating cakes and pastries for the customers.

photo 2We also had the opportunity to hear Sena speak at graduation. She thanked Jesus for giving her new life, and she thanked Eyes That See for walking alongside her on this new journey. Congratulations, Sena, and we pray that God would continue to use you to further His Kingdom!
